So now you're an expert on the brokerage of oil contracts.
Face reality - you do not have ANY knowledge of the nature of this business apart from what you've picked up in following this issue - that's very clear.
That doesn't mean you can't have an opinion obviously - but yours is the opinion of a layman with scant knowledge of this business - you have no reference point to judge what is a reasonable net to the country under this deal where Jamaica put up no capital, has no operational outlay and whose management function seems to be limited to getting intermediaries to act on its behalf in lifting the oil.
OK Mr. Expert - what is the country netting now under this arrangement?
Oil prices have at least doubled in the past 2 years and with the expert management now in place under the current regime - one would expect maybe US$5/barrel net? At least that wouldn't you say? Or maybe more?
Pick any number out of the hat.
I long ago realized the futility of debating closed-minded partisans so I'll leave the field to you boss.
Enjoy.
