Well there has been no detailed airing of exactly what the numbers say. So we do not know what a comparison on costs to effect delivery of the bulbs will show. So why do we not wait on knowing what the figures relate to on the matter of expenditures undertaken to effect that delivery?

How many persons were employed to effect delivery of these bulbs?
What were the associated costs - e.g. transportation, board and lodgings, meals...etc?

While we wait on release of the figures it is perfectly normal to wonder on whether or not the figures will prove or not prove reasonableness. So my wondering on - "Wouldn't it be 'funny' if the figures prove reasonable when compared to costs at which any other entity would quote for the job?" - ....costs stands!

...now the matter of laundering of funds is a different 'kettle of fish'?!

Lazie, if my judgment is correct, the price of oil(at the consumer level) is fixed.
The question now is who would mek de money, certainly it should not be propitious to elected officials, it mirrows Kern's Bulbbay.
Kern problem was the unfair advantage he gained from being in Govt.
Govt. remains responsible for its dubious contracts.

People need board and lodging to distribute light bulbs?

Lazie, that looks like some Calatrava bridge! Are you fan of his as I am?!

I would expect this from Willi, as he used to live in Barcelona, the home of the great architect/engineer, Santiago Calatrava.

Darn, where is No. 1 Fan when yuh want to discuss some architecture?!?

Does 'board and lodging' mean resting in a lodging house, hotel, motel, private home for more than a day, two days or a week? Have I missed the meaning of 'board and lodging'?

            If so, I am sorry!
...I do hope you understand that I was refering to cost of lodging and expenses associated with that lodging?

Sigh, it's not a Calatrava. I should have known. His are even better!

Keeping it real ... I went in search of an image of a bridge, saw it as unusual and used it. I have no idea who Calatrava is.

Some things are simply common sense. Why did Conlin Campbell resign? Why after defending the PNP accepting the money from Trafigura the form Minister of Injustice AJ Nicholson came out and said if he knew then what he knew now?

As much as you attempt to hide the obvious Don1, yuh not doing a good job.
My guess is that you are a relatively recent (or is it just that you're unsophisticated?) analyst of political events.... you jump from supposition to conclusion with such ease absent necessary corroboration or evidence... that's called political spin.... start with a conclusion (PNP officials are guilty of corruption and should be imprisoned) then seize on any statement that even tangentially supports the theory.... without any critical analysis of such statements.

There is a chance that you may be correct in your prognostications on Trafigura but you are impatient of the arrival of facts or evidence to support your spin.

                    Your common sense issues:

PCJ people on radio - what incriminating info did they disclose? If none what's your point in mentioning this? No real point probably.

Colin Campbell resigning - that's what politicians do when there is extreme embarassment in case you didn't know. When there's reasonable suspicion of a crime they should be charged- where are the charges? Puzzling absence of charges since the regime is understandably and maybe correctly hungry for PNP blood.

Nicholson's statement - you obviously have insider knowledge of what he's referring to- I don't.... so you are free to get excited about that... I am not so inclined.

You seem to find facts unnecessary to the formulation of your judgments. In your world supposition and partisanship trump factfinding every day of the week..... or perhaps only when it suits your political objectives.

Don1 .. you're no different from those on the Poppyshow Brigade as far as I can see. You simply take a position and hang on to it no matter what. I take the time to get myself informed .... I suggest you do the same and stop attempting to twist my words.

My position is I don't know what happened and I await facts even as I don't see the path to prosecution on the matter given what has been stated publicly. I also believe if individuals broke the law they should be prosecuted.
Yes ... I will stick to that pending facts indicating otherwise.

You however seem/claim to know what occurred and have passed your judgment unconcerned about the trifling matters of evidence or presumption of innocence. What you seem to inform yourself of is suppositions supporting your pre-existing conclusions.
You may even be right..... but the methodology is flawed.

You are free to perpetuate this folly.

Well, continue in your ignorance Don1. Top execs from the PCJ was on the airwaves explaining the Nigerian deal. Then after hearing how much money the country was getting for each shipment it is obvious that it didn't add up.

If you wanted to know the facts you would have gotten it instead of assuming its a storm in a tea cup, then attempting to twist my words to support the almshouse.
