PM challenges young people to step up as leaders Saturday, 05 April 2008 Prime Minister Bruce Golding has challenged young people to step forward and take on roles in their communities.
Addressing recipients of the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze and Silver award earlier this week, Mr. Golding said young people should see themselves not as the leaders of tomorrow but as leaders of today.
Mr. Golding noted that is now desperate for people to come forward as leaders.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a non-competitive programme that was started in 1956 by the Duke of Edinburgh and encourages responsibility to self and service to the community.
