    JFJ condemns constable’s murder

Wednesday, 26 March 2008 Local Human Rights Group Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ) has condemned the killing of Constable Lazano McFarlene who was attached to the Mobile Reserve.

Constable McFarlene was killed on Tuesday morning in a reported shoot-out in the Manning's Hill/Cassava Piece area of St. Andrew.

The JFJ also extended sympathies to the police officer who was injured during the shoot-out.

In a release, the JFJ said the loss of life of a member of the police force, or any Jamaican citizen due to violence, is disquieting.

The JFJ said it will continue working towards helping to create a justice system that will uphold human rights.

well somethings must have changed for the news media to report this 'condemnation'... the question is what has changed to bring about this reporting of the jfj's strong statement of condemnation...

          That is the question!

But let's stop this nonsense about the JFJ changing its stance on this issue.

Well .. maybe what has changed is that you saw this report. They have always condemned the killing of any police. Why? I don't know.
