The problem I have with your opening statement is that you seem to have reached a conclusion on Jamaica's economic affairs BEFORE you have completed this book which you seem to expect to endow you with special gifts and insight.
    Thank you sir!

Don, I meant to ask you before...how did you survive pre this site? You LOVE this shyte! LoL

Silicon Valley is noted for engineers, not economists. Granted Stanford is a top notch school, but Boston is far more reknown!

I know what it is noted for. However, given some of the pedigree over there it certainly isn't laughable for a man to say he is talking to economists from over there.

The book was not written on Ja. It only serves as
a lantern to the ills. Although very powerful; I will not tell you that this book is the end all for Ja's economics.

Quick question: Have you read this book per chance?

            I only scoffed at the
notion of casino gambling because Ben said advice. Yes you would find some quality MBAs and economists over there.

I have not read the book. I'm familiar with game theory though. I await your full assimilation of its teachings and then the insightful analysis of the Jamaican economy and its prospects under the current administration.

              Good luck.

Notable economists exist in diverse places, Silicon Valley and St Lucia included.
My point was that that place is NOT noted for that specialty so to state (as in a manner to suggest that readers may/should be impressed) that one is consulting with Silicon Valley economists...... I found that laughable and now that I've thought more about it .... it's borderline hysterical!

How did you know?? Pre-forum, my on-line life was very boring. Now with the colourful, articulate, wise and thoughtful denizens I've found here..... a whole new world has opened up to me.

Life on-line is now worth living.

                          You have no point.

All you have is assumptions... blind ones at that.

A bookworm by the name of Jawge decided to eat his way through a three volume reference resource on Economics. Each volume is an inch thick. He begins his journey at the front cover of volume I and works his way to the back cover of volume III.

By the time he's done, how far has he travelled?

And you are right, Don1. And anyone with a modicum of self-respect should just acknowledge that and move on.
