Residents living near the construction site of the multi-million dollar Mount Rosser by-pass in St. Catherine are upset over the level of compensation being offered for their relocation.
The residents of Treadways and Faith's Pen in St. Catherine are insisting that the government provide more than the amount they have been offered.
In one example, householders in Treadways are being offered $100,000 to relocate from a wooden two-bedroom house.
Works Minister Mike Henry promised the residents their concerns would be addressed.
He said he is trying to ensure that the dislocation of the remaining householders be as minimal as possible.
The residents highlighted their concerns during a tour of the area Thursday morning by the Works Minister and a team from the National Works Agency, National Road Operating and Constructing Company and foreign contractors Bouygues.
