    Dancehall artiste arrested for carnal abuse

    Popular dancehall artiste 28-year-old "Deva Brat", whose real name is Sheldon Smith, was arrested on Tuesday evening on a charge of carnal abuse.

    Mr. Smith, who resides in Westchester, Portmore, St. Catherine is charged with one count of rape.

    It is reported that the alleged incident took place on Monday.

    Allegations are that Mr. Smith took a 14-year-old girl to his house and assaulted her.

    The matter was reported to the police and the entertainer arrested.
