  • PNP shouldn't cry foul!

    Wednesday, February 06, 2008

    Dear Editor,

I find it amazing that Dean Peart and some of his comrades in the People's National Party could be so "dry-eyed" and barefaced to complain about recent job cuts in the public sector affecting their members (supporters).

After an 18 1/2 year rule of plunder and waste, during which the PNP crammed hundreds of its supporters into jobs in overstaffed public sector entities including JUTC, NHDC and NSWMA, costing taxpayers billions of hard-earned dollars, the newly elected government had no choice but to cut the wasteful racketeering and nepotism.

I am surprised that the new government still has so many of these PNP activists working in several government agencies - some of them no doubt sabotaging where they can.

It is unbelievable that the PNP had the nerve to complain and scream victimisation recently in light of this necessary correction which affects the so-called jobs of their supporters and card-carrying members.

Clearly, they wanted to continue bleeding whatever is left of Jamaica's scarce resources in order to keep their people slurping in the trough. It would be funny if it were not so sad to behold such indecency and bold-facedness.

Some of them should have been sent to prison!
Are they living in a different world or do they simply just take Jamaicans for fools?

Or is it simply a case of the termites in motion?
