Chairman Dr. Omar Davies in his opening remarks admitted that there has been a long delay in reviewing reports from the Auditor General's Department.
In outlining his approach as Chairman, Dr. Davies called on Members to use the sitting to focus on major deficiencies that have been highlighted in each of the three reports to be considered by the Committee.
Before demitting office at the end of last year, former Auditor General Adrian Strachan chided the Government for the long delays in reviewing the department's three reports for the period 2004-2007
