  • More managers sent packing at NSWMA

JR News centre has been informed that the axe has fallen again at the state-owned National Solid Waste Management Authority, (NSWMA).

Two senior directors at the agency are among four persons who have been fired.

According to reports reaching RJR News centre, they were given walking papers on Friday January 25, for failing to carry out their duties.

The dismissed managers held the posts of Director of Finance and Director of Corporate Services.

The News centre has been informed that the Board of the NWSMA and Minister of State Responsible for Local Government Reform, Bobby Montaque were informed of the dismissals.

This is the second time in recent months that managers at the NSWMA have been fired.

A major restructuring exercise at the agency last November, led to the dismissal of approximately 25 employees.

The agency's Human Resources Manager and the head of the beautification programme were among those sent home.
