  • Calvert not yet charged

It could take a while before charges are laid against 25-year-old Eldon Calvert, who was listed as St. James' most wanted.

Calvert, who is linked to several multiple shootings and murders in his hometown of Salt Spring, St. James, was held during an operation early Monday morning.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Crime, Mark Shields, said investigators are conducting a detailed probe of crimes allegedly committed by Mr. Calvert.

Deputy Commissioner Shields said there are a number of cases that the police are still investigating that they believe Calvert was involved in, including murder and shootings.

However, DCP Shields said it will take some time for the police to go thoroughly go through these cases.

He added that following these extensive investigations, if necessary, Calvert will face an identification parade.

I believe Andem went thru a similar lengthy process before being charged and convicted, so hopefully the same will happen here.

Why charge him? Let him go
it's the police that's the murderers and criminals in JA. They are the ones that need to go to jail. Matter of fact the people can protect themselves.
Hindrances that's what the police force stand for. Calvert is a freedom fighter.

Being a police officer must be the most demorlaizing job in JA. When all is said and done; those that are lobbying hard for the criminals, will call the same police at the drop of a hat.
