I mean that it is difficult to stay in the valley and see the other side of the mountain. Consider what it has taken to change the attitude of our footballers to get a spot on the world stage. Consider what it took for Bob to change the approach to reggae. It is not imposssible just difficult to see exactly what kind of competition one faces from an island such as ours. And more importantly how to defeat that competion given the resources available on that island.

Hell no, we just dont have the time for things like these where the payday is not just around the corner.
The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

Australia and Antarctica both have a claim to be in this island list however, for geological, political and cultural reasons they are described as continental land masses and so are not included in the list. However if they were included Antarctica would be the largest island with an area of 5,400,000 sq. miles (14,000,000 sq. km)and Australia would be the second largest island with an area of 2,941,517 sq. miles (7,618,493 sq. km).
