President of the University and Allied Workers Union (UAWU), Lambert Brown, is accusing Chairman of the Jamaica Urban and Transit Company (JUTC), Douglas Chambers, of lying.
According to Mr. Brown, assertions from Mr. Chambers that workers at the state owned bus company were receiving payments for work not done, are false.
Reports surfaced on the weekend that Mr. Chambers had accused the UAWU of being aware of the illegal activity.
But speaking on RJR's call in programme, Hotline, Mr. Brown said the workers were assigned special duties with the full knowledge of the company's management.
He claimed that there were instances when these employees were joined by Mr. Chambers.
The Union Leader claimed that Mr. Chambers' action is due to him being instructed to put redundancy programmes on hold.
