    in the earlier years of djs the gun talk was mostly fantasy... lyrical battles is no longer based on fantasy... regrettably, the dancehall has become the conveyor of the pervasive gun culture... too many arrogant, wayward immature deluded youths with studio access, posing as artists pushing their reality on the mostly young impressionable youths in the society...

    with jamaica having so much social issue, the larger question is where was the law enforcement... the inaction of law enforcement in these situations has caused these offending 'artists' and some patrons to treat the dancehall as a sanctuary for misdeeds...

    this comes back to an earlier post i made that the punishment for breaking laws in jamaica need revision... they are too soft and are mostly considered as a nuisance to offenders...

    currently, the punishment for breaking any laws in jamaica do not serve as a deterrent to anyone...
