  • Interesting Film - Yuh Might Just Be Worshipping The Sun

    and not even know it:

    http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

The Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the sun, in which they put a man called Christ in the place of the sun, and pay him the adoration originally paid to the sun."

    Thomas Paine
From the summer solstice to the winner solstice the days become shorter and colder. And from the perspective of the northern hemisphere the sun appears to move south and get smaller and more scarce. The shortening of the days and the expiration of the crops signifies death. By December 22nd the suns demise is fully realized. Having moved south for six months it reaches it's lowest point in the sky and then stops moving south for three days. During this time it resides in the vicinity of the Southern Crux or Cross constellation. After this time it moves one degree north foreshadowing longer days, warmth and spring. Hence The Sun died on the cross (crux), was dead for three days only to be resurrected or born again. This is why Jesus and numerous other sun gods share the crucifixion, three day death, resurrection concept

there was a group called "the psychedelic furs" and they had a line from a song called "angels don't cry"....which said:

"nothing is written but old news again and again"

Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe. Thomas Paine

But isn't that a bit of a distortion though? As I understand it the original followers of Jesus were a bunch of Jews and thier beliefs had nothing to do with a sun god.

As for Christmas on Dec 25th and all that goes along with the celebration, well that is something else.

If you check it out the crucifixion, three day death, resurrection concept has been credited to "gods on earth" from as early as 3000 B.C. and the concept seems to be taken from sun worshipers. So it look like JC a old pirate. I even doubt his existence

Well yes that's true but are they in fact the teachings of "Jesus"? I will follow the teachings (well some of them) but prefer not to attribute them to any one source. As I said before I doubt such a person even existed.

There seems to be documented evidence of the existence of a popular anti-establishment Jew named Yeshua around that time.

That is why I put it in quotes...

Does not really matter who the teachings are.. the message can be valued without knowing the messenger..

But some would argue that you can get that message to the people without all the baggage that organized religion brings, so we should try to separate the message from the fairy tale messenger.

but the fact remains that this fiction
was 3000 years before Christ was born. another disturbing part is that
the ten commands were written on Temples in africa thousands of years before Christ. Is it the reason why you often ridicule the Bible Bricky? (you went into the temples of knowledge and found out it all came from Africa) I see you would rather worship the Sun huh? It's okay that was covered too
