The hands of Member of Parliament for Western St. Thomas, James Robertson, have been swabbed for gunpowder residue and his licensed firearm taken in for ballistic testing by the St. Thomas Police.
This forms part of the probe into Monday's attack on a JLP motorcade in the Seaforth Division in which a Party supporter was killed.
Mr. Robertson says in the wake of allegations that he fired his gun during the incident, he volunteered to provide samples to the police.
The Member of Parliament is claiming that the allegations were made by persons seeking to gain political mileage.
RJR News has been informed that other persons who were in the motorcade are to be questioned by the police.
Owen Muir of Eleven Miles, Bull Bay, as well as Mr. Roberston's driver and another man were shot while the motorcade was travelling through Navarre Lane.
Mr. Muir, who was shot in the head, succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
