A stand off now exists between the Government and the Opposition.
This follows a special meeting held Tuesday during which members of the officer corps of the People's National Party (PNP) voted unanimously to put an indefinite hold on all bi-partisan talks with the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).
The PNP officers agreed that this will continue until there's an apology from Prime Minister Bruce Golding for statements he made at the JLP annual conference on the weekend.
Opposition Spokesman on Information, Lisa Hanna, says the Party is insisting that the Prime Minister unreservedly withdraw the comments.
