Opposition Spokesman on Agriculture Roger Clarke has rapped Prime Minister Bruce Golding over his initiative to save the jobs of hundreds of banana workers.
According to Mr. Clarke, the Government has ignored the plight of small banana farmers.
Speaking during the Jamaica Labour Party's (JLP) annual conference on Sunday, the Prime Minister said the Government had stepped in to save 850 jobs in the sector which was virtually destroyed by Hurricane Dean in September.
But Mr. Clarke says no mention was made of small farmers who also employ workers.
