The Diaspora community is partnering the with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to launch a micro-finance loan fund for inner city residents for early in the New Year.
Approximately US$100,000 ($7.2 million) has been raised from Diaspora interests in the United States for the Fund for Inner City Sustainable Transformation (FIST), said Betrand Laurent, director of the USAID Community Empowerment Transformation (COMET).
