Two files on recent controversial shootings involving the police should reach the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) by Thursday.
This is in keeping with a pronouncement by National Security Minister Derrick Smith a week ago.
The cases involve the shooting of a young pregnant woman in St. Thomas and the death of a teenager in Grants Pen, St. Andrew.
Last week, Mr. Smith said ballistics tests had been completed for the files to be submitted.
During a protest in Yallahs, St. Thomas in September, 19-year-old Tian Wolfe, who was two months pregnant, was allegedly hit by a bullet from a policeman's gun.
On September 28, 19-year-old Aundre Thomas was shot during a police operation in Grants Pen.
The initial police report stated that he was killed in a shoot-out.
However, his relatives say he was killed in cold blood by the police.
