Education Minister Andrew Holness will Tuesday give details of arrangements being made to refund tuition fees paid by some parents this academic year.
Mr. Holness told RJR News that his presentation to Parliament will address plans being made for the refunds to begin.
The Ministry has already applied to the Ministry of Finance for money to cover the refunds.
The process is expected to begin by the middle of this month.
Mr. Holness explained that it will take some time to process applications from parents.
He added that following that process, funds will be released to the individual schools so restitution can be made to parents.
The Jamaica Labour Party administration promised free tuition for high school students as part of its election campaign platform.
The refund of fees is projected to cost the country $900 million.
