According to the Ministry of Finance's latest update on Central Government Operations, inflows from taxes continue to lag behind projection.
Between April and September the fall-off was $505 million.
Total collections amounted to $99.8 billion instead of the $100.3 billion the Finance Ministry had projected.
On the positive side, intake from PAYE was more than one billion dollars above target at $21.9 billion.
However, inflows from General Consumption Tax, Special Consumption Tax and the tax on production and consumption were weaker than expected.
The Ministry of Finance recently appointed former Police Commissioner Colonel Trevor McMillan a Senior Advisor to devise new strategies to improve revenue inflows.
Finance Minister Audley Shaw has also announced plans to mount a vigourous tax collection drive in order to plug the $15 billion hole in the Budget.
