Just saw Shaggy and had a good long chat with him.

He sez that the biggest INTL hits we have had since Bob has been dancehall, though even Shabba only sold 500K records at peak. Sean Paul, Shaggy and Sean Kingston have sold more.

I think he even said that Bob never had a number 1 hit single outside of Jamaica.

No true..."Could You be loved" was #1 in Sweden ( may not have been a single...so what). Thing is - Bob was before the advent of internet, routine cable TV, ringtones....can you imagine if he had all those support an ads. The Sean Kingston one surprsed me, never know it was so big...but yes, Dancehall is it.
