I am still at a loss as to why Jawge posted this article then say it is for me.
You are right Mo, as many of the engineering graduates who graduate from US universities are from foreign countries. The article made sure to ignore this important piece of facts, while pointing to India and China miscounting other folks with degrees in IT as engineers.
If you look at the populations of the three countries, you will see that India is 3.75 and China is 4.39 the size of the USA respectively.
1,129,866,154 - India (July, 2007 est.)
1,321,851,888 - China (July, 2007 est.)
301,139,947 - USA (July 2007 est.)
(Figures taken from the CIA Factbook)
The larger populations alone are not the only factors why these countries graduate more engineers.
Anyway, when Jawge thinks the USA is so far ahead of other countries educationally, I encourage him to read articles like this:-

I remember reading that advanced degree programs in particular are loaded with Asians.
Many of them still stay in the US after graduation but an increasing number are going back home , partly because the process to stay has become so frustrating and also because they now have more opportunities than ever to earn a good living in thier own country.
The elite US universities are still leading in advanced research and producing people who turn those research projects into profitable companies though. I agree completely with Jawge on that."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass

This is the USA's problem:
A school teacher was arrested at Gatwick Airport as
he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler,
a protractor, a set square, a slide rule, and a calculator.
At a morning press conference, Home Secretary John Reid
said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra
movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by
the Metropolitan Police with carrying weapons of maths instruction.
"Al-gebra is a problem for us," Reid said. "They desire solutions by
means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search
of absolute values. They use secret code names like 'x` and `y` and
refer to themselves as `unknowns,` but we have determined they belong
to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with co-ordinates in
every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say,
"There are 3 sides to every triangle".
When asked to comment on the arrest, Prime Minister Tony Blair,
speaking from his holiday resort before the planes stopped flying,
said, "If God had wanted us to have better Weapons of Maths
Instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes. It
is important that we deal with Al-gebra before they multiply and
establish fractions throughout the world"

Well based on what you are saying
the INS will soon be non existent. This is not the case as this office is still being overwhelmed. I guess you can tell the people of JA that the US is no longer King, hence they don't have try to have their kids born in the USA. they can get better opportunities in China and India.
The US will crumble and the giant China will take over and rule the world. At the same time the dumb americans will just have watch in awe (as they are being dazzled by the futuristic technologies of the two asian giants) Tilla one piece of advice: All this technology that you are seeing in Asia? Do some quality research and see if you can find out where the R&D was done. Aslo see who dispensed it. Thanks.

I guess the Eternal Learner has not learned enough to recall that before the US was the only super power there was the Roman Empire and the British Empire and one day, maybe not in our life time the US will not be the super power or even one of the super powers.
The British used to boast that the sun never sets on the British Empire now they are basically confined to an island just off the European mainlandSolidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.
