CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS
The Ministry of Education as part of the transformation of the education system, invites applications from experienced, competent and dynamic professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officers for the National Education Inspectorate and the Curriculum and Assessment Agency.
1. NATIONAL EDUCATION INSPECTORATE
The Chief Executive Officer will be required to inter alia:
1. Provide leadership and expertise to a team of experienced inspectors.
2. Develop the national inspection framework.
3. Publish the annual inspection report and give policy advice to the Government.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Post-graduate degree in Management & Administration or in a related field.
Extensive experience in a national or regional quality assurance body, inspectorate or comparable organisation.
At least five years experience in an executive capacity.
2. THE CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT AGENCY
This Agency is a new entity with responsibility for an integrated curriculum and assessment system. The Chief Executive Officer will be required to inter alia:
1. Provide strategic leadership to a team of competent curriculum and assessment specialists.
2. Guide the development of a seamless national curriculum and assessment operation.
3. Lead the continuous review of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Post-graduate degree in Education with specialisation in Testing and Measurement and or Curriculum
Extensive experience in education or in a related field.
Five years experience in an executive capacity, preferably in an educational institution.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Employment will be on a fixed-term contract for three years subject to annual performance reviews.
REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package commensurate with the candidate's qualification and experience will be offered.
