efficiency? Apparently not. The Minister of Transport made it clear to the boards that report to him that they will be evaluated periodically, I think it was every 18 months. He wants the JUTC to stop being a burden on the taxpayers and start operating as a profitable entity. Now people are complaining on Independent Talk that they don't like what is going on at JUTC. To my understanding there were people there getting big money and not doing anything.

Ronnie Thwaites is asking people to give the new Air Jamaica board some time, yet in the same breath he is stating that they made a wrong move. Where? According to the new Chairman, Mr Conway enacted a clause in his contract and resign.

    Damn!

Why are the two not possible?!?!

Lazie, of course, if you want to believe he simply "enacted the clause", then sure, you could look at it like that.

If it was simply that, why would he go on to say all that about divorce and all the rest?!?! Let's be honest for once, Lazie. Is that asking too much?

Until him come out and say he was forced to resign I can only take Ms. Shirley's word. You can continue jumping to conclusion. Mr. Valentine on the Breakfast Club this morning when bowled with facts from Ms. Shirley started shouting and was all over the place. Pity him did jump to conclusion.

        I leave you with this:

"It's a form of divorce if you will and I am disappointed. I won't be here to execute the plans that I really believed in and was approved by the prior government, because I really believe that the company can be profitable, but major decisions had to be made".

So what? The new board may be going with a strategy that he isn't in agreement with and decides to resign. That doesn't mean he wouldn't be disappointed.

          Come now Mosiah ....

So, who is replacing Conway at the Air Jamaica helm?

Seems like there is a little more there than simply "enacting a clause". Right?

I heard Ronnie Thwaites saying Ms. Shirley will be working as Executive Chairman. Don't know if its official or via the grapevine.

Mosiah, if Mr. Conway did enact the clause to resign thats what he did. Suh stop trying to flip it into anything else.

If he was forced to resign, then him need to come out and say it.

Okay, Lazie. Like I said, I'm leaving you with that quote.

Is there no one in the current Air Jam. ranks that can succeed Conway. Williams should be Chairman of the Board and just that!

Again, I'm not certain if what Ronnie said was a rumour. She was on the Breakfast Club this morning and she didn't say who would replace him. I guess we have to wait and see ... or hear.
