In the 50s 35 minutes. ...do not remember exactly when it became 40 minutes.

Karl is right, I recall when I was in high school it used to be 40 minutes each half then it was increased to 45 minutes a few years after I left.Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

Thank you! I know when I used to play it used to be 40 minutes each way. Some people were laughing at me last weekend when I told them that!
I understand that it was changed to 45 minutes when ISSA was set up in the early 1980s, as part of their strategic plan to develop all sports along international lines as much as possible. I thought ISSA was older than that!
