<P class=StoryText align=justify>MONTEGO BAY - Roger Wilson scored five times yesterday as Fair Prospect hammered newcomers Paul Bogle High 8-0 in their ISSA/Pepsi/JN daCosta Cup Zone L game played at Fair Prospect.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Davian McKenzie, Cashen Henry and Tyrone Brown also got on the scoresheet as Fair Prospect scored their first win in the competition since 2001 when they edged St Thomas Technical 2-1.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Ironically, the 2001 result will not appear on any ISSA list, however, as the team was later disqualified.
Fair Prospect, who themselves have been on the wrong end of big scores, lead Zone L ahead of Titchfield, St Thomas Technical and Port Antonio, who were also winners yesterday.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Titchfield beat Yallahs 3-0; St Thomas Technical edged Happy Grove 2-1; while Port Antonio High were 1-0 winners over Seaforth.
Spalding High scored their third win over Knox College in five tries when they triumphed 3-0, thanks to goals from Shaddae Mason, Kevon daCosta and Younde Reynolds.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Former champions and last season's semi-finalists Clarendon College got off to a winning start, beating Thompson Town 2-1, with Nepfa Stewart scoring from the penalty spot and Greg Lewis adding the second.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Lennon High led Edwin Allen 1-0 with 18 minutes to go in the second half when their game was blown off due to a waterlogged field in Frankfield, Clarendon.
The competition continues today with 17 more games in seven zones, including a match-up of former champions Vere Technical and Glenmuir in Zone I.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Glenmuir have had the better of the former kingpins, winning the last four games between them, including a 10-0 drubbing in their first round last season.
Former Ben Francis Knock-Out winners Old Harbour High will make their debut in Zone I when they host Kemps Hill at the Spring Village Sports Complex.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Frome Technical who is expected to be one of the Inter-Zone qualifiers from Zone B opens on the road to Knockalva Technical in Ramble, Hanover.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Frome has retained a number of players from last season and about seven from the team that lost in the 2004 finals to Glenmuir.
The Zone A game between two time champions Herbert Morrison Technical and St James High promises to be exciting as both teams are coming off good pre-season preparations.
