To me , there are two situations we should be concerned about:

    1) The athlete being transferred would have been better off staying where they were before.

    2) The transfers collectively are creating a poorer quality competition than would exist otherwise.

If we can say certain types of transfers create these outcomes then yes, we should try to discourage them, if possible. If we cannot determine that, then there is no reason to act.

There were several players on the JC squad this year in their final season of schoolboys football who got little or in some case no playing time who would have been starters if they had stayed at Frome Technical. But i guess if they stayed at Frome they could not win the Lime Cup, Manning Cup and Olivier Shield titles...as to how their game improved while riding the bench....

The problem here is that a JC old boy could have arranged for your job in Kingston in order to get you to agree to transfer his son to JC. It's all good for father and son but the Cornwall College would have lost their investment in their star baller. Transfers should not be stopped Cornwall College should be paid something for training your son.

They can make transfer on conditions. Just like how FIFA make it for underage youths moving from country to country on some conditions.

You cant be talking about money and payments when you talking about high school sport though Time, makes no sense, the violations would not stop here

Yup, I am talking about money, school to school or school to ISSA to school. Note that I never said payments to students, that would make them professionals. I have never been to law school but I am sure that lawyers can find a way to make it happen without the student signing any contract. If we can't call it ISSA Training fee or ISSA Transfer fee then call it ISSA Processing fees.

and you think money is an impediment to rich old boys trying to win at all costs?

Flexing their chequebooks is what they have been doing all along, you think people just want to go there just because of the fresh air and nice pastoral scenes...they get paid so how will charging transfer fees stop them, that will only make what they are doing seem legal or acceptable
