CAMPION blanked hosts Ascot 5-0 in boys' Under-16 and 3-0 in girls' Under-16, and visitors Immaculate turned back newcomers St Mary's College 3-1 in girls' Under-16 in urban ISSA/Securipro Table Tennis Competition on Monday.
And in the rural results, visitors Manchester High blanked newcomers Knox 5-0 in boys' Under-19 and 5-0 in boys' Under-16; and hosts Glenmuir beat deCarteret 5-0 in boys' Under-19 and won by default in boys' Under-16, as deCarteret did not field a team.
Campion extended their lead atop girls' Under-16 Group One with Monday's win and are now on eight points, followed by Hillel on five points, with Wolmer's Girls and Ascot on four points apiece.
Immaculate, who are last year's beaten finalists, have taken over the lead in Under-16 Group Two, with Monday's victory. They are now on seven points, ahead of Ardenne on six points, St Mary's College, five points, and St Andrew on three points.
Campion's Under-16 boys also extended their lead in the Under-16 Group Three and are now on eight points, ahead of Hillel, five points, with Wolmer's Boys and Ascot on four points each.
In each of these Under-16 groups, the top two finishers will progress to the semi-finals.
All four rural boys' matches belong to Central One Zone, and Glenmuir widened their lead atop both Under-19 and Under-16 categories after Monday's triumphs.
In Under-19 Glenmuir now have 10 points, followed by Manchester, seven points, Knox, four points, and deCarteret, three points.
And in Under-16, Glenmuir have 10 points, Manchester, seven points, Knox, four, and deCarteret have two points.
