...and yes it is a picture of a *sports academy without any or little mention - You did mention a gym...was that modern gym i.e. properly laid out, fully equipped and fully staffed? - of the sports area!!!
*Does not necessary have to be single structure. There are two other models - the sports academy with outside academic partners [i.e there are no inside academic facilities that are not bound to the sports discipline(s) offered];
- the sports academy with a mix of in-house and outside academic partners [i.e. the disciplines not bound to the sports discipline(s) offered].

They built a modern structure (well Frank Hall donated the $$) for a gymnasium ...with some old equipment. We recently sent s'more equipment donated by an Equinox that was being re-equipped
But I don't like the idea of JC becoming a "sports academy' nor is that the mission of our stakeholders. Sport is important but secondary
JC strives for all-round excellence with academics primary...that primary mission is a work in progress ...with comprehensive remediation & support for the big % of our 1800 students who are from disadvantaged environments
