  • Watching Manning and Dcp on Ceen

The quality is very poor.. You can see where the competition and fear of loosing as taken the football out of the game.. It is actually quite bad.

You really wasted your time watching that crap. I have seen better quality soccer at the elementary school level in Nassau county, NY.

its painful .. the funny thing is there is talent and in some weird way skill.. But poor technique. Not understanding spacing, one touch two touch. We are waisting the talent. Maybe Georges and Wolmers are exceptions.

Exactly! It is not about playing football, it is about not losing.

I would say 4 schools in the Manning Cup played football, and maybe 3 in DCup. The rest has been mostly an exercise in athleticism.

                  Leebert is a good man.
...as a coach he is among our best.

OJ, you should take what I say about our local Jamaica coaches with my thoughts on "we need competent teachers".

It is a matter of whom our locals are being compared...locals? ...or top international coaches?

Consider this - Leebert, Jackie, Wendell, Color have all been part of our coaching/technical commitees for our age-group teams. Some of these teams have made it to FIFA World Cup finals but in not one match have we seen a display of good football - TEAMplay.

Coincidence? ...or definite reflection of teachers' incompetence?

Then there is the local record of among those teachers, multiple national ISSA trophies!!!

As HL is wont to say: That is all I have to say about that!

he might be and I cant say he is bad.. but his team had poor habits and he is part of the bad coaching i see .. lots of instructions from the technical area and shouting... i would love then to let the kids play and make some decisions.
