  • Schoolboy Football Gone to the Dogs

According to the announcers, ISSA has allowed the captains of STETHS and Glenmuir to play in the daCosta Cup final, despite them carrying two yellow cards each.

The announcer said the schools did not get involved with this decision. Apparently, ISSA took it upon itself to pardon the captains of both schools for the final.

I find it very strange that ISSA would do this without either school getting involved! Dem tek people fi eediat!

If the announcers' understanding of the facts and the rules is correct, this is a very bad precedent, a retrograde step, a bad example for not just football, but sports in general, high school sports in particular.

Radcliffe left Glenmuir some time ago. He works with the Min. of Educ. now. Yes he was big in ISSA at one time.

Strings pulled yes but the memory of playing the finals for those two captains will last a lifetime.
