The one thing i would like to see the Board doing which Roberts said is to be more involved in the grassroots whether they liaise through national boards or directly. At my club I have never seen any directive passed along to us as coaches or as a cricket coaching school (we have about 170 - 5 to 17 year old boys and girls) that says the WICB or even the T&T cricket board would like us to take such and such a direction , or, to focus on developing any particular technique or skill. As a coaching school and as individual coaches we have to figure it all out on our own... which is fine, but the point is the Board is NOT being proactive is fostering cricket development at the junior level. Scotiabank is probably doing a better job with its "kiddy cricket" program but that really is more PR than substance.
