Munro win D'Cup group in style

Former champions Munro College confirmed their place as the Zone E champions while Bog Walk High and St Mary Technical booked their places in the Inter-zone round of the ISS/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition after rescheduled games yesterday.
Christopher Wint scored four times as the Hopeton Gilchrist-coached Munro swamped Newell High 9-0 in their game at Newell to break a tie with St Elizabeth Technical.
Munro, who will make their entry into the Ben Francis Knock-out on Saturday, moved to 25 points as Shawnavan DeSouza, Jermaine Samms, Rasheem Eccleston, Boris Bonny and Carl Simpson all scored one goal each.
Bog Walk, who only needed a point, beat McGrath 4-1 to finish second in Zone J behind Dinthill Technical on 26 points, while St Mary Technical moved past St Mary High and Brimmervale to take over second place in Zone K after a 8-1 win over Iona High at the Richmond Prison Farm.
Jermaine Green and Noel Ormsby got a brace each for St Mary Technical.
