Defending champions St George's College, despite missing countless chances, still managed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ascot High in their ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Group F Manning Cup match at Winchester Park yesterday.
In another interesting encounter, St Jago High stunned hosts Kingston College, 3-1, in a Group B fixture under muddy conditions at Cloverley Park.

At Winchester Park, goals from McKauly Tulloch, Davion Kelly and Deshawn Forbes propelled the Light Blues to their first win after two games in the competition, while midfield dynamo Marvin 'Mr Man' Morgan pulled the strings with an impressive showing.
Tulloch, who wasted a handful of chances early on, finally got his name on the scoresheet after being left with precious little to do but put the ball into the net after a lovely bit of skill from Morgan.
Devon Williams, Jhuvon Francis and Carl Reid all managed to waste clear opportunities to extend their team's lead as the hosts began to stamp their authority.
Ascot goalkeeper Shomoya Morgan, who pulled off a string of impressive saves, was also largely responsible for the 1-0 scoreline at the end of the first half.
The unfancied visitors almost stole an unlikely equaliser in the 70th minute, but striker Keneiko Thomas unbelievably kicked wide of an empty net after an error from goalkeeper Windell Reid.
The chance seemed to have lifted the Ascot team, which grew more confident as the game progressed, but their hopes were dashed in the 81st minute when a goalmouth melee ended with Kelly putting the ball past Morgan into the net.
However, the best was yet to come as Forbes curled a 20-yard free-kick around a four-man wall and into the top left-hand corner of the post to seal the win for the Neville Bell-coached team.
Bell was happy with the result, but expressed concern at his team's less than perfect conversion rate.
Said Bell: "I thought we played very well. We missed a number of chances, but unlike our first game, I think we were patient today. I knew the goals would come; it took a little while, but I thought we moved the ball very well, so I was very impressed with how we played.
"Up front we should have scored some more goals, so that's a concern, but what is good is that we're getting the chances," Bell added.
Ascot's Everald Campbell said his boys were tired after already playing twice in five days before facing the defending champions, but blamed lack of concentration for the result.
"We played three games since the start of the week while St George's came into this game much fresher (than us). Also, I believe we lacked concentration and that is what enabled them to get these three goals," said Campbell.
The other Group F game between Kingston Technical and St Mary's College was rained out.
Other results:
Group B: Innswood 2, Haile Selassie 0; Jose Mart 0, Norman Manley 2; Kingston College 1, St Jago 3.
Group C: Spanish Town 0, Trench Town 1; Excelsior 5, Cumberland 0; Calabar 3, Tarrant 1.
