Striker Theophilus Samuels scored a double to carry Bridgeport High School to a 3-1 win over Excelsior in the final of the Corporate Area schoolboy Manning Cup, giving the Portmore-based school their second lien on the trophy.
Samuels netted in the 14th and 87th minutes, while Ricardo Martin scored the other in the 33rd.

Richard Scott scored Excelsior's consolation goal after 62 minutes. Earlier, outgoing champions Calabar defeated Eltham 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 regulation-time score, to capture third place.

Bridgeport's captain Kenardo Forbes accepts the Manning Cup trophy from Carlton Barclay (left), assistant general manager of Jamaica National and John Burrowes, marketing director of Pepsi, after their 3-1 victory over Excelsior High at the National Stadium yesterday. After five minutes Scott played through top striker Jermaine Parris, but his tame shot gave 'keeper Carlloyd Walters no problem.
Minutes later, the ball fell kindly for the striker inside the box, but his torrid shot was blocked by a defender.
Bridgeport took the lead soon thereafter, when Samuels weaved his way through the Excelsior back-line before hitting a low shot into goalkeeper Chevon Bowen's far-post.
The St Catherine team found their rhythm and dictated the pace of the game with some slick movements in midfield, led by captain Kenardo Forbes and Theo Brown.
Samuels should have added a second on the half-hour mark, but he shot into the side netting, with Bowen out of position.
However, they did get goal No 2 three minutes later when Martin beat goalkeeper Bowen and central defender Sheldon Madden to a high ball over the top before walking the ball into an empty net.
Excelsior appeared lost after falling behind 2-0, and Halliman quickly drew for "super sub" Alanzo Adlam five minutes before the break.
The Excelsior No 9 did bring inspiration to the team and in the second half, along with Scott, brought the game to Bridgeport by pushing them back.
Seventeen minutes into the half Excelsior were back in the game as Walter's blundered Scott's free-kick slipped from his grasp and into the net. The goal lifted the Excelsior team as they went in search of the equaliser, forcing Bridgeport into some hurried defending.
Akeem Nelson had the best chance to tie the game, but again an alert Bridgeport threw themselves at the ball to block a vicious strike from 12 yards.
With three minutes to time, Bridgeport scored a beautifully orchestrated goal to steal the show. A back-heel from strike partner Andre Clennon sent Samuels clear, but the forward weaved his way through three defenders before tucking the ball past Bowen.
Bridgeport's coach Patrick said he knew once his team came out and got some early goals the title would be theirs.
