  • This morning I decided to watch the

    Portmouth vs Reading match...and, bwoy?
...most of the goals in that 7-4 were excellent...and, the match could be used as training tool...it was not half bad!

The attacking play by both TEAMs was good! The defending was in patches...by both TEAMs sometimes good...
    ...and sometimes not so good!

There was a lot of 'teaching stuff' - what to do...and, what not to do...
    Enjoyable match!

The two 'keepers put in almost identical howlers on why racing out for 40 yard clearances (attempted clearances) are usually just not on!

7-4 speaks of the defences being more not good than good....if yuh score 4 goals in the BPL...yuh supposed to win that game!!!!!!

      Yes...and, no!

...it would appear so from results between teams of unequal ability?
...but, if the aim is perfection - then if that was ever reached - perfect match of players...i.e. perfect TEAMs...each kick off would be all perfect passes, perfect moving into space...and, since it is the TEAM with the ball whose players think on what to do with the ball...and, it is the defending team that must react (i.e. be 2nd at knowing what is going on) ...each kick-off would be goal scored - Right?

Time then would decide winners and losers! ...and, the scores could possible be 50-49 or whatever???? Right? Perfect reaction - would make prefect TEAM without ball 2nd at all times to the perfect TEAM with ball!

Point is goals are sometimes scored against TEAMs playing good defense.
      Yup!

The score was 7-4...but, perhaps...3-4 only of the goals went by because of defensive lapses.

well it is the most by aggregate.....perfect game would have to include perfect defense...let's not forget that...

anyway....7-4 is an unusual scoreline......to think a team sored 4 goals and lost by 3???!!!!!!
