English Press: Spurs Board To Discuss Jol's Future The Daily Mail has speculated that the Tottenham Hotspur board has tabled an emergency meeting to discuss the future of team coach Martin Jol...
An English tabloid has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly disillusioned with coach Martin Jol and are consequently to arrange an emergency board meeting to discuss his future.
Rumours that Jol was on the way out surfaced over a month ago, although the London club was quick to reject reports that any crisis meeting had taken place.
Now, though, the rumour is on the go again, this time courtesy of the Daily Mail.
During the last month, the London side have continued their poor run of form, most recently drawing 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers. They're now in the relegation zone, with little prospect success in sight.
It's unlikely that recent speculation regarding the imminent sacking of Jol and the installation of Sevilla coach Juande Ramos in his place has helped matters, but it is undeniable that the pressure is mounting.
Whether this actually results in a board meeting, much less a sacking, remains to be seen.
