Arsenal 'freed up' by Henry exit

Fabregas has been in inspirational for the Gunners this season

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas says Thierry Henry's departure has given the team the freedom to play without fear.
The Gunners were tipped to struggle after striker Henry's exit to Barcelona but they are top of the Premier League.
"Henry intimidated us," 20-year-old Fabregas told the Daily Mail. "He is a great player but it was not easy to play alongside him.
"We were a bit inhibited by him - dependent on everything he wanted to do and his demands. Now it is different."

I'm enjoying watching Fabregas this season if he carries on like this he should win player of the year

    kk

Fabregas has been in inspirational form for the Gunners so far this season and has already scored six goals in nine games.
He was again on the mark as he grabbed a goal in helping his side to thrashing Derby 5-0 and he insisted the doom merchants only served to galvanise Arsenal when Henry left. "Everyone was saying that this year without Henry we would be nowhere and that has motivated everyone."

    His demands! Arrogance?

...did as he pleased without enough regard for TEAM!

what were those demands karl? and what did he want to do? play patty cake?

same was said of gary sobers.....man perform at a higher level and in all probability demanded the same of his teammates??perhaps/ i don't know can you suggest differently?

        Demands?
It was obvious - the anti-TEAM "me, myself and I"!

Last time! -so how come it is an argument of convenience made 2 years ago and explained so many times?

Anyway I thought you said below - lets us "agree to disagree"?

Harbour View is probably a better TEAM without Jermaine Hue on the side. Not because of anything Hue himself does. In fact, Hue is the ultimate teamplayer, stringing passes together all over the field. But because he is so influential, I have always felt that his teammates are sometimes intimidated by his presence, trying too hard to pass him the ball when the pass isn't there, and waiting for him to win matches for them.

Or maybe when he is not there they have one more person to play defence.

Henry a general and it's because he was so good why others were intimidated. Henry did nothing wrong.
