    Argentine Mauricio Pochettino has reached an agreement to become the USMNT's next head coach.

      I have no problem with the hire. He's a head coach/manager who has coached/managed some of the best footballers in the world, and he's also known for nurturing young players. The players in the USMNT player pool will now need to impress and convince Pochettino that they belong.

        Chelsea F.C. is holding up the USSF hire of Mauricio Pochettino as the new USMNT head coach......When Chelsea fired Pochettino they couldn't pay him the remainder of his salary in one lump sum, so they have been paying him in installments. Based on the contract, if Pochettino officially starts the USMNT head coach job, Chelsea doesn't have to pay him the remainder, so USSF is now in negotiations with Chelsea to see how Pochettino can start his new job and still get the remainder of his money.
