I am sure Dan Garber will address the spending issue of the MLS....in terms of the acquisition of quality players.

They had a owner's meeting yesterday, and Apple executives were invited. One of the main topics of discussion was the salary cap, as some of the more progressive owners want it to increase, so they can build stronger rosters with quality & depth. Jorge Mas (Inter Miami), who is pushing to increase the salary cap, said "I found the energy in the room infectious...we understand the opportunity ahead of us...hopefully this is the catalyst for the hypergrowth that I and all of us aspire to"
I think they need to increase the salary cap, so they can build stronger rosters with good depth, because they now have the expanded Leagues Cup on the calendar, and there's the possibility of a CONCACAF/CONMEBOL club tournament.
I'm sure we'll hear more, by the end of the year, and it looks like the owners could be investing more in their clubs, and further growing the league.
