    Funding for Jamaica's preparation for the Women's World Cup has seemed so uncertain that a player's mom has taken it upon herself to fund-raise for the team.

    A GoFundMe account — Reggae Girlz Rise Up — was set up by Sandra Phillips-Brower, the mother of midfielder Havana Solaun. To date, it has raised more than US$45,000 (J$6.7 million).

    "It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
