Coach seeks practice matches for U-23s
AS Jamaica's Under-23 football team continues its quest for an unprecedented appearance at the Olympic Games, coach Wendell Downswell is confident the youngsters will make their country proud.
Downswell's optimism is fuelled by the young Reggae Boyz's outstanding display in their Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Group B tournament in Aruba last week where the team came out on top with maximum nine points after wins over Antigua/Barbuda (6-1), Barbados (1-0) and hosts Aruba (5-0).
The next stage beckons and is scheduled to be played between October 9 and 13 where the bubbling Boyz are drawn in Group H to face Group F winners Bahamas and Haiti, champions of Group D.
