Klinsmann ONLY success, as a head coach, was with Germany - Germany has a system in place for their national team, for decades, and when Klinsmann took over, he had a good pool of players to effectively execute that system. With Bayern and the USMNT it was clear that he was tactically inept.......Jurgen Klinsmann was hired as the head coach of the USMNT, and then given full control of the men's program (Technical Director of the U.S. Men's Program), by Sunil Gulati (President of U.S. Soccer), who was a good friend of Klinsmann.
