Great tribute..never met the man in real life but interacted with him on the forum and think we did talk once on the phone.

So many good people have said so many great things about him that he must have been special.

I just wish Balla would come back...I miss him too.

Met him at a game vs. St. Lucia a few years ago. He was sitting with his best balla in the Grand Stand at stadium. Didn't know him well, but from my brief conversations with him, I know he is greatly missed by friends & family.

Last Saturday, early in the morning, I presented a symbol of love and appreciation to the parents of Courtney Livingston. It was basically the same tribute that we have on this website, but splendidly framed in gold in three large pieces.

Mrs. Livingston immediately clutched the one bearing the photo of Livi to her chest and expressed profound appreciation for our gesture. That was to be the first of numerous expressions of gratitude, thanks and appreciation. I made sure not to blink.

Later on, her husband came out on the verandah where he was shown the items. He took a quick glance and looked away, obviously overcome with emotion. It was the anniversary of the death of their son, our brother.

Mr. Livingston gathered the strength to look at the gift more closely and I spoke to them for a few minutes more. Mrs. Livingston told me about the visit to the hospital and how she had heard the news. I was moved not only by what happened but by her strength in telling me.

Keep the remembrances coming. Courtney’s siblings are aware of the website and check it out from time to time.

I hereby pass on numerous thanks and appreciations from their family to the RBSC family. Courtney’s brother, Maurice, also expressed his appreciation yesterday in a phone call to me.

My First (and Recent) Trip To Kingston

I will never forget my first trip to Kingston, and spent an entire weekend listening to Courtney, Mosiah, and Ohene arguing about the Reggae Boyz.

Because of Courtney, on a trip to Kingston last autumn to see Independence City FC, I ventured into The Jungle to see for myself what Courtney had built.

Courtney, you did a great job. Too bad Arnett Gardens couldn't find the net that day.

Met him a couple of times in So Flo. Seem like a cool dude. Life too short, but it seems he seemed to make the best of it by following his passion to the max, where ever the Boyz played.

Respect to you and your family Boss.

Mosiah, I was reading the tribute a couple nights ago and it is really touching. I did not meet Courtney personally in his lifetime, but as I read the tribute and I was so touched I felt my eyes fill with tears. My wife saw it and asked what was the matter and I told her I thought my allergies were acting up again . It is really well done and I am proud of it. A fitting tribute I must say.

                                Thanks.

It was difficult writing it, it is difficult reading it, it was difficult doing this tribute, it was difficult sitting with his parents.

Courtney is really deeply missed by us all. Every single day.

And it was not easy writing this post.
