The last transfer news about a young Canadian player I heard of was Tajon Buchanan, going to Club Brugge (Belgium). Anything new???
1st day of the Winter Transfer Window, and got 2 surprise reports:
(FC Dallas, again) 18 year-old CF, Ricardo Pepi, transferred to FC Augsburg (Bundesliga) for $20M + add-ons (which is over $9M more than their biggest signing ever)
.......I know Bayern Munich wanted to sign him, because 2 of their reps went to Dallas about a month ago, to meet with FC Dallas, Pepi & his agent, but Bayern wanted to start him with their Reserve Team, which is understandable, but he wanted a chance to play 1st team minutes. Then, for the last 2 weeks, even yesterday evening, reports were that he was going to Wolfsburg, and this morning it's reported that he's going to Augsburg, who are just above the relegation zone.......Some people are speculating that it could be similar to the Gnabry transfer (Arsenal to Werder Bremen, with Bayern Munich in the background). - https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/sourc...lub-record-fee
21 year-old Daryl Dike, transferred from Orlando City F.C. to West Bromwich Albion (Championship) for $9.5M + add-ons, and 20% sell-on clause.......This was being reported, for over a week, as a loan.
