Robin Fraser, head coach of the Colorado Rapids, led the team to 1st place in the MLS Western Conference (Regular Season), which is the first time in the club's 26 year existence. Fraser achieved this despite 1. having the smallest wage bill in the MLS, 2. having only 1 Designated Player, who's on loan, and 3. not having a double-digit scorer.......In late 2019, Fraser was hired as Colorado's head coach, with 7 games left in the season. In 2020, Fraser posted the best 25-game start of any Colorado Rapids head coach, finishing the Regular Season with a positive goal differential (was the first since the 2016 season), and qualifying for the 2020 Western Conference MLS Cup Playoffs.

For a few years I've been hearing that Fraser is respected, in the league, for his work with defenders, and developing team defense. As a result he was hired, as an assistant, by Real Salt Lake, New York Red Bulls & Toronto F.C. specifically for those skill sets:
With Real Salt Lake, they won the 2009 MLS Championship.
With New York Red Bulls, they won the 2013 Supporters' Shield (his 1st season).
With Toronto F.C., they won the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Canadian Championship; 2017 Supporters' Shield; and the 2017 MLS Championship.......They were also 2016 MLS Cup Runner-Up (lost in penalty shoot-out); 2018 CONCACAF Champions League Runner-Up (lost in penalty shoot-out); and 2018 Campeones Cup Runner-Up.
