  • Congratulations to Robin Fraser (Jamaican born).

Robin Fraser, head coach of the Colorado Rapids, led the team to 1st place in the MLS Western Conference (Regular Season), which is the first time in the club's 26 year existence. Fraser achieved this despite 1. having the smallest wage bill in the MLS, 2. having only 1 Designated Player, who's on loan, and 3. not having a double-digit scorer.......In late 2019, Fraser was hired as Colorado's head coach, with 7 games left in the season. In 2020, Fraser posted the best 25-game start of any Colorado Rapids head coach, finishing the Regular Season with a positive goal differential (was the first since the 2016 season), and qualifying for the 2020 Western Conference MLS Cup Playoffs.

For a few years I've been hearing that Fraser is respected, in the league, for his work with defenders, and developing team defense. As a result he was hired, as an assistant, by Real Salt Lake, New York Red Bulls & Toronto F.C. specifically for those skill sets:
With Real Salt Lake, they won the 2009 MLS Championship.
With New York Red Bulls, they won the 2013 Supporters' Shield (his 1st season).
With Toronto F.C., they won the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Canadian Championship; 2017 Supporters' Shield; and the 2017 MLS Championship.......They were also 2016 MLS Cup Runner-Up (lost in penalty shoot-out); 2018 CONCACAF Champions League Runner-Up (lost in penalty shoot-out); and 2018 Campeones Cup Runner-Up.

Watched interim Mgr. Tyrone Marshall get beat in MLS final season game yesterday.

Still good to see 'local' guys stepping up into team management.

Tyrone Marshall was asked to keep a sinking ship afloat, and he tried his best. The FCC ownership & president fired the general manager, the head coach (Jaap Stam) and his assistant coaches, but kept Marshall, so they probably think highly of him. It's a learning experience, and he will get his legitimate shot at a head coaching position.......Robin Fraser's first head coaching job was with the "Built to Fail" Chivas USA, and 7 years later, he's showing what he can do, with the bare minimum.

Toronto FC probably thought Greg Vanney would stay, as head coach/manager.......Hopefully Fraser can convince Stan Kroenke to invest more in Colorado .......Since last week, I've been seeing reports that Bob Bradley will be Toronto's new head coach/manager.......Ezra Hendrickson is interviewing, this week, for the Chicago Fire head coach/manager position. Good Luck to him!!!

Ezra...know him well. Very hard working player in his days.

He bought me a drink at a club in DC some years ago. Was hanging out with #1 Fan, Matta,, Balla....et al.

              Hope Ezra ail the best.
