yes they have been working on him for a while, I think they were being blocked by Chelsea who owns or owned his contract. I saw the coach saying Chelsea had told them the player was focused on the England callup but seems they got him after courting him for about three years. I personally think they have depth at the attacking areas.. There is a player missing by the name of MandaKhar which I think would help them but overall I am impressed with how quickly John Herdsman has implemented a system and identity with a group that really did not come through the pathway together as we would have expect.

I like how Canada is recruiting young talent. They have some very good young talent, especially the attackers/forwards. They should have a good, competitive squad for the 2026 WC.

interestingly they were building for 2026 this run in 2021 is a bonus. I was one of those who was skeptical at John Herdsman sticking up the program but it has worked so respect to him..
